The need to support & invest in courageous leaders who are committed to realizing a vision for a new South is clear. Our research has taught us that people place a great deal of hope in their local political leadership, particularly leaders who openly prioritize shared prosperity and belonging within their communities. Also, we’ve found that where local political, community, university, and philanthropic leaders openly prioritize fairness, opportunity, and shared prosperity, there is greater hope and optimism among residents in their community’s future.

Because of this, EPU cultivates and accelerates courageous leaders through our three acceleration programs: the Unum Fellowship, the Unum Academy, and the Unum Alliance.
