Listening Loudly
A Conversation with Natasha Cloud

At EPU, we know there is a great need to celebrate what we have in common in our communities, exploring what makes us unique and asking the tough questions about the racial divisions that exist just below the surface no matter where we live. When we embrace our shared beliefs, we see and respect each other differently; we act differently; and we can all thrive equitably.
That’s why we’re launching a new Instagram Live series, Listening Loudly. Our founder, Mitch Landrieu, will lead a monthly conversation of varying topics on Instagram Live with a guest who will share their personal stories and life experiences through the lens of race. Participants will come from all walks of life: a trendsetting influencer on Instagram with Southern roots; an athlete, a small-town business owner, or an international celebrity. Each guest will share their influences and challenges and will talk about issues such as race, class, privilege and power.
In our first conversation, Mitch will speak with Natasha Cloud, a player for the WNBA’s Washington Mystics.
Listening Loudly will bust myths, challenge stereotypes, and discuss divisions in our communities that lie hidden behind our traditions, behind our class structures, and behind race. While the series will delve into challenging issues, we hope to be engage watchers in a welcoming, constructive, and fun way while always ending with a forward-looking message.
