Megan R. Underhill is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of North Carolina Asheville. She is a race, family and inequality scholar who studies how white parents understand and discuss issues of racial and class inequality with their children. Her writing has been featured in public outlets such as The Washington Post and published in the leading race journals in her field. She is also in the process of writing a book about her research with white parents, tentatively titled White Parents in the Era of #Blacklivesmatter Activism.
