In 2022, EPU created the the inaugural Unum Academy class bringing together seven students from colleges and universities in Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and North Carolina. With a focus on self-exploration and building a deeper knowledge of specific equity-related issues, the Academy supports Southern college students on their personal equity journeys so they are prepared to take on larger leadership roles on their campuses and in their communities. The Academy experience culminates in a 200- hour paid summer internship with an equity- focused organization in the EPU network.
